Types of Coating

Powder Coating is paint in powder form that is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the workpieces. It must then be cured at a temperature of approximately 190 degrees. Result: thickness of approximately 100 microns.
 
Advantages:
          o Quick processing
          o Environmentally friendly (no solvents)
          o Impact and scratch resistance
Disadvantages:
          o Limited choice of colours
          o Not all materials can be treated with this
          o Length limitations

 

Wet Painting is paint in liquid form. It is sprayed onto the workpiece using a spray gun and compressed air. It can then dry and cure at room temperature. Result: thickness of approximately 90 microns.
 
Advantages:
          o Almost unlimited choice of colours
          o Beautiful smooth finish
          o Virtually all materials can be treated with this

Disadvantages:
        o More cumbersome process than powder coating
        o Less impact resistant
