Sustainability is in our DNA
At Dejond Metals quality is inextricably bound with sustainability. Both are in our DNA. The whole Dejond Metals team puts every effort into rising to the green challenges of the future. We are aware of our social and ecological responsibilities and we strive for a balance between the economic, social and environmental aspects. Safety is also one of the core values in our daily policy.
We call this environmental care, associated with concrete action.
Some examples:
- Limiting energy consumption with a reduction of CO² emissions through energy-saving measures
- Rationalising waste material flows by waste prevention and far-reaching separate collection and processing, with re-use as the priority
- Stimulation of economic use of raw materials and additives such as water, paper, fuel, etc.
- Restricting discharges into the sewer to only domestic waste water
- The creation of a framework and consensus for the environmental policy
- Communicate of environmental policy, objectives, activities and achievements

Dejond Metals has also put a unique system in place for recycling copper and brass turning and milling waste, which can also be used for smaller quantities. In the Netherlands we work with our partner ENF Metaal for this.
